About Saint Cyprian
Saint Cyprian, a third-century bishop of Carthage, was an influential early Christian theologian and writer known for his works on ecclesiology and unity in the Church. Born around 200 AD, he was originally a wealthy Roman lawyer before converting to Christianity and becoming a bishop in 248 AD. Cyprian faced persecution and ultimately martyrdom under Emperor Valerian in 258 AD, leaving a lasting legacy on Christian thought, particularly regarding issues of schism and reconciliation.
