About Elbert Hubbard
Elbert Hubbard (1856-1915) was an American writer, publisher, artist, and philosopher known for his influential essays and books that promoted individualism and self-reliance. He founded the Roycroft artisan community in East Aurora, New York, which played a significant role in the Arts and Crafts Movement. Hubbard is also remembered for his widely read essay "A Message to Garcia," which emphasizes the importance of initiative and responsibility in achieving goals.
